Peca Moves On

Michael Peca has decided that it was time to move on from the almost Cinderella storied Edmonton Oilers. His services were requested in Toronto and Peca has decided to make the move. Peca and the Toronto Maple Leafs signed a one-year deal. Toronto will receive the services of this valuable veteran for about $2.5 million.

It’s not a bad deal considering what Peca brings to the table. The deal sealer had to be Peca’s playoff performance. He rose to the occasion in the playoffs last season. He played in 24 playoff games and scored six goals and recorded five assists in that time. Peca has become somewhat of a journeyman of late. If you remember, he was traded from the New York Islanders to the Edmonton Oilers.

The moves have already started in the NHL. Expect a lot more movement in the coming months.
