Philadelphia Flyers Add Sanderson

The Philadelphia Flyers have added a veteran to their team. They came to terms with Geoff Sanderson. The 34 year old had 25 goals and 21 assists last season. He’s going to be a solid addition to the Flyers. Last season Sanderson was skating for the Phoenix Coyotes. So far the terms of the contract have not been disclosed.

The deal will most likely be for $2 million per year since Sanderson made $2.5 million last year. The deal between Sanderson and the Flyers is for two years. Flyers GM, Bob Clarke, is very happy with the deal. He said, “Geoff’s an exceptionally gifted skater and goal scorer. We’ve obviously increased our goal scoring and the speed of our club. It was our intent in the off season to do that and he was the best goal-scoring free agent we were able to get.”
Sanderson brings his 1,005 NHL game experience to the Flyers next season.
